Happy Camper!

I had a delightful lunch with a friend today.

I put in some good quality work at the office.

I made 2 loaves of chocolate chip banana walnut bread ... and left out the walnuts from one loaf, so my honey can have some, too.

I made La Bamba Casserole (new recipe to try), so dinner for tomorrow is already done!

I figured out the basics of my new Polar heart rate monitor, so I can try it out during my workouts at the gym tomorrow!

It's snowing to beat the band. I think we'll have 3-5 more inches by morning. Everything in sight has little snow-hats of 5-6" high. It's so pretty & so cute. I know, I know ... scary driving, etc. Just take your freakin' time, people. And don't go out if you don't have to!

It's the little things.

Annual inspection in a couple of weeks

Shortly after Valentine's Day, we've got our annual inspection for our adoption process scheduled. We'll talk with the adoption specialist at that time about the pros and cons of pointing people to our profile online -- the obvious "con" is that if we post it on one of our blogs or on one of our Facebook pages, prospective birthparents can track it back to us there, which may create unnecessary drama and emotional turmoil. We're also thinking about expanding our age range, from "infant" to a bit older. Last year, we both hit the 40 year mark, which also apparently is a strike against us from the perspective of prospective birthparents, especially those whose own parents are in their 40's! We're just trying to keep our chins up & have faith. My cousin says there's a baby out there with our names written all over it, which creates an interesting visual for me. I just hope she's right.
