I love how Thanksgiving and Christmas bring people together, whether it be family or friends.
I'd much rather sit down with someone over a meal and enjoy their company than be caught up in the gift giving frenzy.
I don't necessarly mind giving or recieving gifts when it's heartfelt, but I think so many are caught up in the 'obligation' factor that the joy of it is missed.
I also love driving through the neighborhoods with the family and looking at all the lights.
Jeff B: I am in complete agreement with you! :) I just have too much damned fun making gifts & finding something a friend will treasure to NOT participate in the gift giving part of the holiday. Frenzy & obligation are holiday-killers in my opinion, and I do all I can to kick them to the curb! :D
I think I am probably a cozy too. I don't get out much... ;)
I also love making gifts and finding that perfect one that you know will make someone happy. I love christmas traditions and am looking forward to adding the JYC class to mine. :)
