My favorite moment of the season actually happened today. I received a letter from my mom, which happens at least once a week. In it, she wrote to express her thanks for the gifts I’d sent for Christmas, and to tell me how each gift is appreciated. I decorated a clock for my parents, with an enlarged photo of them, on a beach at Caneel Bay, where we all vacationed this past summer. Just the way she worded her appreciation made my eyes well up. It is supremely gratifying to give a gift from the heart and to have another heart echo back its thanks.

I feel it the same way whenever my parents write something to me. But I think this is good. Cause you are building your bond with them.

....k....made my heart swell a bit and I'm not their kiddo.
Keep that letter forever!
Your journal is coming on nicely. I had a few projects started before Christmas & then someone placed a very late order for a mazebook & two were left unfinished. I vow to get them done by January 31st!
That is so good to hear because I try to write to my daughters regularly and I hope that they look forward to them. You have done a great job keeping up on your journal.
Awww...how sweet! I love it!
That's so cool. Moms have a way of saying just the right thing at the right time.
I love my mom to pieces and it's always nice to hear from another who has a bond with their mom or dad.
