Clearing away the crap

Today's Quote from A Fancy Word for Simple:

Spread love everywhere you go: First of all in your own house... let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness; kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness. -- Mother Teresa

I'm no Mother Theresa, but I do try to spread sunshine when I can. I am a strong adherent of "Leave a place better than you found it," which was thoroughly instilled in me during my Girl Scout years. There's enough accidental garbage that piles up in our lives ... it's nice to feel like I'm instrumental in clearing away the crap. Some days, it's all I can do to leave it no worse off -- like right now I'd really like to do some cleaning in my house, but I am just wrung-out tired. I am probably better off having a cup of tea & going to bed!

Well I join you on this one.
I try hard to keep it pristine but work leaves me worn out & I am hardly crafting for being too tired.
I love my home to give people the feeling they could kick off their shoes, curl up & live here.

I try hard to have a welcoming house. But, I have to admit hospitality is an effort. My house is automatically comfortable and welcoming. Especially not for those who just drop by. :)

*looking around at the mess*

I like it this way, really! LOL

Ya know, I try to bring kindliness into the lives of others.
Himself claims I'm compassionate. LOL What's he know--he grumbles at other drivers, so absence of grumbling equates to kindliness?

The mess can wait -- (and it does).
'Pay it forward' is a fun way to live life. In 'my kingdom' a bit of a mess means we're 'living'!
(that's my story and I'm sticking to it!)
