“I had just taken to reading. I had just discovered the art of leaving my body to sit impassive in a crumpled up attitude in a chair or sofa, while I wandered over the hills and far away in novel company and new scenes... My world began to expand very rapidly,... the reading habit had got me securely.”
H. G. Wells
Oh, books are for devouring and inhaling! I cannot get enough of them. They are around me all of the time. They go with me to the gym, to work, and on trips. They have a place in, literally, every room of our house, except maybe our main bathroom. Let me check .... nope, no books in there. There are books everywhere else, though! Here are the books I received as Christmas gifts. To date, I have read all of them except one. I would say I read about a book a week, or in some cases, I'll devour one in the span of less than 24 hours, which is bittersweet, indeed.

I love to read it is one of my favorite things to do.
books are to be cherished. sniffed, stroked, loved & worshipped like Gods in their own rights. I so love a brand new one, the smell is out of this world & some of these new covers are so touchable..... i know I am a bit of a book perv!!! I have similar feelings about eggs!!
I love reading too - must check out the Fancy simple blog - thanks for the hint on my blog, Suzanne.

They won't fit on the bookshelves....it's not my fault.
If people wouldn't write so darn much and so darn well I wouldn't feel so..ummm...obligated to read their work?
;-)
there is no other feeling like getting so caught up in a book that you could stay up all night to read it. I love a good book
