We attended a madrigal feast this evening, at the Morton Arboretum. It was so much fun! The performers, from the Ouroborus Theatre Company, did a splendid job. We were serenaded by song, dazzled by dancing, enthralled by theatre, and shocked by swordplay. There was a fun little plotline, involving Will Shakespeare & Edward deVere, and lots of classic Shakesperean lines tossed back and forth. I had to reach into dusty corners of my mind for old information from my Renaissance Culture minor to grasp some of it, but the ol' noggin delivered fairly well, forsooth. It was fun to get dressed up, dine on fine food (including mulled cider - YUM!), and enjoy some spectacular entertainment!

Eat, Drink, and Be Merrye!
