My gift for gab

Today's journaling prompt was all about holiday gifts. Again, I am thinking I should've done a 12X12 album for this project, because there is so much I have to say on the subject!! I wanted to go into depth about how I refuse to shop after Thanksgiving, except for the wishlists I solicit from needy families, and how I love making wrapped gifts pretty ... and how I loathe going to the post office in the holiday rush & therefore try to have all long-distance gifts mailed before Thanksgiving.... but there just wasn't enough space on the page! I just have too much to say!! Like that is a surprise for anyone who knows me? So, I settled for the most condensed version I could come up with:

"I thoroughly enjoy giving gifts at the holiday season, and I start the process early, to make sure that it’s not stressful. As of today, I have only one present left to make, and about a quarter of the gifts left to wrap. I try to make my gifts ones that will delight, inspire, or amuse, which means I tend to avoid highly practical gifts, unless I know it’s something a person just longs for, in which case I will happily buy socks or clamps or pots. I usually have at least one idea for every friend or family member, so it is rare that I am at a loss for a gift. I do cherish the gifts that I receive, most especially if they’ve been selected with tender loving care. On Christmas afternoon, I always write out thank you notes to people who didn’t get to see me actually open their gifts, so they will know how much I appreciated it!"

I really like how you put the date on the metal rimmed tag. More great journaling!!! I too wish I had made a bigger album, I'm doing a 6x9, and it just isn't big enough.

Brilliant again I admire your little details ... the round tag and the title ... do you make these in some program? or are they store bought?
